I just had to write and tell you how much we've
enjoyed "An Invitation to Murder.” Two years ago our family
held a Halloween party with one of your adult murder mystery packages.
The characters were absolutely hilarious and everyone really seemed
to get into the roles and bring their characters to life. The party
was a tremendous success and everyone was talking about it for months
afterward. This year we held an encore party using your "content
friendly" package so that we could include some of the teenagers
who were jealous of being left out the last time. Once again we were
delighted by the zany characters and twisted plots, and the spirited
creativity our teenagers gave to their roles made the party even more
fun than before! We've now gained a reputation for throwing the best
parties, and friends and relatives have been calling us to get on
the invite list for the next time! We cannot wait to do this again!
Anyway, I just wanted to say thank-you for providing us with such
memorable evenings, and keep up the good work... |

Dear Cloudburst Productions:
We had the party Saturday night--what an unbelievable
event. All 18 guests had a blast, laughing and interacting all evening.
After almost three hours, I finally gave the victim their signal and the
murder was solved. Some of the folks were sad that it ended!
There's already talk of having the "next" one and who's going
to do it. I was blown away at the effort people put into their character
and costume and that they stayed in character all night. The party was such
a success that the final guests didn't leave until after 3am.
If you're looking to do something "different" and have a blast,
An Invitation to Murder has got to be at the top of the list. |

Dear Cloudburst Productions:
I had never been to a murder mystery party before,
much less hosted one. And, I don't know what gave me the "hair-brained"
idea to give one, but I'm so glad I did!
I surfed the Internet for a company to provide a story-line for the
party and I found you guys. I clicked on the "what our customers
are saying..." and thought to myself, "yeah, right! Talk's
cheap and web-site quotes from so-called customers are cheaper."
But, THE PARTY WAS FABULOUS! My guests got so involved in their characters
that if a stranger had walked in they would have believed the guests
were really the characters they were portraying.
This was the first party I had seen where the non-drinkers were having
as much fun, if not more, as the drinkers. One couple (my neighbors)
knew absolutely NO ONE and had only met me once before. But he's a
performer. He sings and plays the guitar and made a great Lounge Singer
Character! Everyone blended perfectly...even the 'shy ones'!
We did the party for 12 with Georgia Blackwell (AKA: me) as the host.
Most of my guests were from my office, and we are still laughing about
it!

with your kit for 12 guests. It was an absolutely amazing time. Everyone
came in true character and the costumes were great. This was a first
time we hosted, and this was a first time our guests attended one.
It was a true success and we absolutely loved the characters. The

The party was a great success. Everyone played
their part very well even though it was their first time doing anything
like this. Even the shyest person who I thought would have a difficult
time, came in full costume and preformed magnificently.
Much of the credit goes to your game.
I have hosted a number of murder mysteries in the past but none were
as easy to get into, yet detailed enough so the characters came alive.
As host I had a wonderful time. I got to play a character and really
be a part of the fun, instead of just overseeing the party. By far
your game was the most fun we have had. We laughed so hard we cried.
I will be sending you some pictures as soon as they are developed
and scanned. We hope you can incorporate them into your web site.
As for any potential new hostess, we highly recommended An Invitation
to Murder. The most fun you can have at a party with your clothes

I just wanted to write to tell you how much fun
your murder mystery party was! I ordered your first one for this Halloween
and everyone just had a blast doing it. Of course we were all a bit
nervous at first, but after about three minutes, everyone was totally
into their character and you could see a side of them coming out that
was just dying to break free! The story line was fun and the roles
were hilarious! What a fun time! I highly recommend this to anyone
wanting to try one. The price is right and you are guaranteed to have
a blast! The best part was, no one really had to spend a lot of money
on their outfits as most of us had things around the house or if we
didn't, there is always the local Salvation Army or Goodwill store!

I just thought you would like to know that we
did "Death of a Salesman" in early December with a group
of teachers, and it was great! We followed your instructions exactly,
with just a few additions to make it appropriate to our situation,
and it actually worked out better than I could have hoped for. The
group immediately decided that we should do another one in the spring.

Hello again....
We have just completed our second murder mystery and it was just
as good as the first one! About a year and a half ago we did the
Mystery 12 and this time we did the Single's Mixer for 14 with an
almost entirely different cast. All of our participants put a lot
of effort into making their characters outrageous and we laughed
all evening. As the hostess and knowing how the mystery was to work,
I found this one even easier to run and I had a lot of fun re-creating
Georgia Blackwell. Thanks again for a great time!

Dear Cloudburst Productions,
This past Halloween 2003 I hosted your mystery
party for twelve. It was a hoot and a half. Who knew people would
get so totally into their characters with such inventive costumes
and props. Everyone got into their character with such enthusiasm
and hilarity. Our hotel manager (Old Ms. O'Shaunnesy with all the
health problems) had a machine inside her costume that made "passing
gas" noises throughout the night with her remote, at just the
right moments. She had us rolling... Our Lounge singer/Elvis impersonator
favored us with Karaoke performances of Elvis songs; complete with
hair, sideburns, and pelvic thrusts... too much for some us ladies
to bear. Our Medusa character amazingly had several extensive real
tattoos already, which she complimented with additional stick-ons
(so funny, really because the roles were selected as a drawing,
with no predetermination at all). It also worked out so that the
two husband and wives that came ended up having MAJOR issues with
each others’ mystery characters. I [decided to play] a gay,
male version of the Art Dealer host/hostess just because I thought
it would be more outrageous and funnier. I think it was. We had
several ladies that ended up playing male roles, but it made it
more hilarious.
Thanks again. We all had such a great time.
It was worth all the effort. Already some are talking about the
next time. I think I would like to try your Scavenger Hunt next.
